Blantyre House project

This modern 4 bed home, in the Blantyre area of Lanarkshire, has just underwent a major re-model in the last few months of 2016.

The client had a vision of an ultra modern and sleek finish to their main living space, and the they took the plunge and moved out the house for the time of the build to allow their vision become a reality.

The rear wall of the ground floor was removed and extended out into the rear garden, most of the internal walls where removed to create this large open plan living space.

​

The client contacted us to connect the new space with the rest of the house with technology. 

We worked with the client and builder to bring the new and the old together with a Rako lighting control system, whole house Wifi network, Sonos Hifi, Ultra HDTV and Security system.

The whole system has been designed to come back to one central position under the stairs in a wall mounted rack system, where the Sky Q box, Sonos Hifi and network equipment is housed.

​

The lighting control system has full control of the open plan Kitchen, Dining and Living room, the Hallway, Toilet and the external lighting. This allows the client to create lighting scenes in the rooms via the scene set wall controllers or via a IOS App.The outdoor lighting is also controlled with a built in time clock which will bring on the lights at dusk automatically.

The Wifi network comprises of 2 Luxul Duel band high powered Access points to give them the best coverage of the whole property via an Luxul Wifi controller and a 16 way network switch in the rack.

The Sonos Hifi system is installed in the open plan living space. Partnered with 6 Origin Acoustic ceiling speakers, each space can have its own independent Hifi zone but also can be linked together as a party zone.

​

The TV system included 1 65" Ultra HD LEDTV sunk into the wall above the fireplace in the Lounge. This TV is also linked to the TV in the Kitchen area so both can view the Sky Q box in the rack.
